Strategic surveillance to enhance intelligence operations in homeland security and counter-terrorism

With mega projects like the Abu Dhabi Midfield Terminal Complex, Dubai EXPO 2020 and 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ to be executed in the next few years, the GCC national security market is expected to grow by 18.7% and reach $34 billion by 2020. GCC countries and government organisations must develop smart security surveillance techniques that can help them build robust intelligence operations to manage the growing threats of terrorism, piracy, sabotage, human and drug trafficking. Inter-agency cooperation is currently a focus across the Middle East to improve preparedness and security on a national, regional and global level.

The National Security Middle East Conference & Awards will take place from 29 - 30 August 2016 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, focusing on countering terrorism via specialised and strategic operations, improving long range surveillance and remote monitoring capabilities, plus developing superior capabilities to counter narco-terrorism using state-of-the-art technology. The event will feature experts from homeland security, police, customs, border guards, airports and ports, industrial security and the tri-service to discuss how to enhance regional capabilities to deal with conventional warfare (CW) threats and asymmetrical warfare (AW) threats. This year's agenda also features the National Security Middle East Recognition Awards 2016, which will honour outstanding achievements in the region's security sector.
